The Joy of Movement

The Grinberg Method movement class

In this Grinberg Method class, movement is used to teach body awareness, increase energy levels and concentration. It is not a dance class; it is an exploration into the way our body moves. The aim is to reach a state that the body moves by itself without the interruption of the mind.

In the class you will train to achieve powerful, precise and rich abilities to move without repetitive muscle effort. The class teaches how to use breathing and concentration to further build confidence, fluidity, adaptability and strength in the body. That, as well as using voice in relation to movement and using sticks and ropes to extend the body.

While exercising movements with music in the class, you will learn to let go of your habitual limitations and discover new movement options and freedom. This freedom will allow your body to express itself authentically and joyfully.

This class is aimed at anyone who enjoys and wants to further develop their capacity to move, either as a professional; dancers, performers, people practicing martial arts, etc. or a non-professional who wishes to explore and develop his or her physical abilities.

The full Grinberg Method Movement class consists of 4 stages of 20 meetings each. You can register for each stage separately.

Price for one stage (20 meetings): 450 €

Place: Die Grinberg Methode
Neue Schönhauser Str. 16, 10178 Berlin

About my groups

From self image to self confidence
In an era where women have more possibilities than ever, they continue the heritage of obedience and lack of power by creating an "enemy within": Self image.

Self image is the mental picture by which we perceive ourselves. Whether high or low, it controls a significant part of who we are and what we do. Self image considerations often define the limits in which we are able to express ourselves. This means that we are denied our real feelings, wishes, and needs. We constantly give up our potential and strength to reassure who we think we are, and never stop to realize who we really are.

The group aims to teach women to let go of fixed ideas about themselves and open fresh options of fulfilling their potential. It focuses on recognizing self image expressions and learning to stop them.

The group includes a wide range of individual body awareness, movement, and breathing exercises, as well as discussions and lectures.

Learning To Be Well – Group
Being well is the basis of our lives. It includes being physically healthy, relaxed and confident, with a strong will and the ability to have simple and clear relationships.

Many times we miss this experience and feel we are not fulfilling ourselves as we could. Our lives, which could be full of wonder and fascination, have become routine. We want to change, but we don't know how.

When we shift our attention from our minds to our bodies, we can notice and stop what reduces our well-being. We can learn our own unique way of being (well), maintain it and let it constantly evolve.

This group offers a structured way of learning that allows us to focus our will and take responsibility for our lives; it emphasizes raising our level of attention and stopping the damaging routines that weaken us.

We then gain new resources to deal with challenges and demands that we meet in different situations and become freer and more naturally ourselves.

The group is intended for people who enjoy learning and want to make the most of their lives. It includes physical exercises, written descriptions, discussions and personal training, all aimed at learning to be well.

The group is built of 30 weekly meetings.
