Origins of the Grinberg Method
Avi Grinberg began studying and practicing various body work techniques in the early 1970′s. After working with many clients and encountering a large range of physical conditions, he determined that the best healer an individual could have is himself. It was then that he transitioned his approach from that of being a therapist, who helped people improve, to one who teaches individuals how to be responsible for their own health, wellbeing and development. He began to develop his own method – one that teaches clients to use their individual strengths to overcome their weaknesses and express more of themselves in their lives.
He started to teach this method in the mid-1980′s. Today the Grinberg Method is taught as a profession in Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the United States. There are hundreds of practitioners who work with the method in Europe, Israel and the United States.
Avi Grinberg is the author of several books including Holistic Reflexology (1989) and Foot Analysis (1993). His book, Fear, Pain and Some Other Friends (1994) presents the basic concepts of the Grinberg Method and offers practical ways of incorporating them into daily life. The Magician′s Call is his first book of fiction (1998).
Currently, Avi Grinberg trains the method′s teachers and develops further aspects of the Grinberg Method.
